The book is called “The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making”, which is also the name of the first novel in the series of Fairyland.
Having hinted at the novel in Palimpsest already, Valente began writing “The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making” in Fairyland is a series of fantasy novels by Catherynne M.
Valente. It follows a year-old girl named September as she is spirited away from her average life to Fairyland. In Valente's previous novel, Palimpsest, the narrator briefly discusses a book that one of the characters read as a child, The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making.
Valente then began a book by that title as a Author: Catherynne M. Valente. The dyspepsia world of Fairyland is vivid in its filth and brutality.
The technology introduced makes for compelling mechanics, and they build upon and play off of one another. Sound like a great (albeit, unpleasant) book. Well, it was for the first two thirds.

Madge’s grave was last on my list for the day and all I knew was that she was in Section 16, which contains taller stone monuments. You can even see some of the names from the road. The series proved of great influence in children's literature, increasing the popularity of fairy tales over tales of real life.
It inspired such imitators as English Fairy Tales () and More English Fairy Tales () by Joseph Jacobs. Other followers included the American The Oak-Tree Fairy Book (), Author: Andrew Lang, Nora Lang. It's really nice to see the children settling into the rhythm as they become more familiar with it each week.
